Sprinkler puts out home fire caused by unattended candles (Ventura, CA)

First arriving units reported light smoke in the structure. Further investigation revealed an activated fire sprinkler system had extinguished the fire. The fire, which had originated on a fireplace mantel, appeared to have been started by unattended candles. No injuries to Firefighters or residents were reported as a result of this incident.
