Apartment building saved thanks to fire sprinklers (Redding, CA)

When a resident of an apartment building left coconut oil heating on the stovetop, a fire ignited which then spread to the cabinets and microwave. The heat from the fire activated the overhead fire sprinklers, which eliminated the fire. 

"In this case, the sprinkler system saved the structure," said Battalion Chief Cullen Kreider said.
