Hospital fire extinguished by fire sprinklers (Clearwater, FL)

A fire that began in a patient's room at Morton Plant Hospital could have had a more devastating outcome had fire sprinklers not been present. Fire crews received the call about the fire at 8:16 a.m., and when they arrived three minutes later, the fire sprinkler system had already put out the flames.
