Sprinklers save lives and property at high rise housing facility (New Bedford, MA)

At about 8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 2, a fire broke out on the ninth floor of a housing complex which houses mostly elderly or disabled tenants. The fire was quickly extinguished by the facility's fire sprinkler system, and there were no reported injuries.
