Sprinklers prove effectiveness in senior living facility fire (Venice, FL)

Shortly before 10:00 p.m. on Monday, firefighters were alerted to a fire at a senior living facility. The fire, which began in a microwave in one of the units, was put out by the facility's fire sprinkler system. No injuries were reported.
